This poem was inspired by the work of art before you:
Inspired by: Pot from the “Phoenix” series 1996/2000
My feet scorch the grounds on which I step upon
Footprints etch the path I take leaving my mark
My arms reach out like the rays of the sun
Hands graze the sky like the tips of a limb’s tree bark
No one can contain this spirit
Full of spark and fire
My bounds hold no limits
And never will my soul tire
For it is at this spot here
That I ask you to do the same
“Break through your fear”
For you are a phoenix lit aflame
