Lauren is a junior ceramics major with a minor in psychology. Her focus for this project was to showcase how art can be a deeply personal experience for the viewer, a portal to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. She created content that was serious, and introspective, allowing the museum visitor to engage with the works in the David Owsley Museum of Art and connect what they see or feel to their own experiences. Lauren’s two favorite works, Rest by the Wayside and Degas’ Dancer, can be found in the Ball Brothers Foundation Gallery on the second floor of the museum.
